Can I join?

Participants at study centers across Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, and Latin America are expected to take part in both studies.

You may be able to take part in ACCOMPLISH-1 if you:

• Are 18–79 years of age
• Have tried dieting to lose weight at least once without success
• Have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher* (obese), OR
• Have a BMI of 27 or higher* (overweight) and at least one of the following conditions:
  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • High cholesterol or other fat levels in your blood (dyslipidemia)
  • Interrupted breathing during sleep (diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea)
  • Cardiovascular disease (reduced blood flow or mild heart failure with symptoms during activity)
  • Fatty liver disease (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, or MASH)

You may be able to take part in ACCOMPLISH-2 if you:

• Are 18–79 years of age
• Have tried dieting to lose weight at least once without success
• Have a BMI of 27 or higher*
• Are managing your type 2 diabetes (without any major changes in the last 90 days) by:
  • Diet and exercise alone
    OR
  • Up to three medications that you take by mouth to lower your blood sugar levels (except drugs that end with -gliptin or -tide)

If you meet the above criteria, complete the participation checklist. If your responses match, contact your nearest study center to see if you could take part.

Is an ACCOMPLISH study right for me?

Taking part in clinical research requires careful thought. Before you decide whether to participate, make sure that you understand any potential risks involved. The study team will be happy to answer any questions you may have to ensure you make an informed decision.

Keep in mind, there is no guarantee that you will receive any medical benefit from taking part in this study. And remember, clinical studies are voluntary. You are free to leave at any time and for any reason, with no penalty to you.
